Regular planned maintenance of artificial golf greens is vital and a maintenance
arrangement will be offered to all new clients.
We specialise in the continued maintenance of all synthetic golf greens whether built
by us or not.
In order to successfully remove the moss and weed which develops, it is necessary
to kill it completely. We use a mixture of chemicals but, much more importantly, a
thick layer of sand (up to 5mm) needs to be removed from between the fibres which
is where the moss originates.
After the sand, debris, weeds and moss are removed, the green may need washing
to remove any dark or muddy patches where the moss may have been particularly
bad. After that we clean out the fringes and make sure no roots are creeping in and
remove grass that may have incurred. The cups are then removed and we dig out as
much debris as we possibly can as this helps drainage and allows the green to dry
more quickly. This is a huge help throughout the year in containing the weeds and
moss. We then back brush new silica sand into the fibres. Lastly we roll and brush
until the ball rolls true over the whole green.

maintain it, please contact us.
